The ROC Family Enrichment Center offers free programs to support families, promote wellness, connect neighbors, and provide opportunities for learning. Located at 563 East Tremont Avenue, The ROC is operated by Lutheran Social Services of Metropolitan New York and there is a full lineup of events for November. The calendar includes children’s activities, family game night, senior programs, wellness workshops, fresh produce distribution, and assistance with HRA applications. All are welcome to participate.
November 3: The ROC Community Open House
4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

November 4: Caregiver Appreciation & Recharge
3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A chance for caregivers to relax, connect with others, and feel appreciated.
November 5: Little Chefs: Healthy Holiday Snack-Making
3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Children can have fun making healthy snacks while getting creative in the kitchen.
November 6: Veterans Appreciation Luncheon
12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
A luncheon honoring and celebrating veterans.
November 7: Free Fresh Produce Distribution
4:30 p.m. until supplies last.
Community members can pick up fresh fruits and vegetables.
November 10: Senior Social: Cake Baking & Decorating
1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
An afternoon of baking, decorating, and community for seniors.
November 11: Closed for Veterans Day
The ROC will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.
November 12: Community Book Conversation
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Connect with others and share thoughts about books in a community setting.
November 13: Family Gratitude & Game Night

An evening of family fun, games, and activities for all ages.
November 17: UpLift Family Wellness Experience

November 19: HRA Application Guidance

November 20: Rocky’s Storytime & Creative Play

November 25: Senior Pedestrian Safety Workshop

Learn tips for staying safe while walking in the community.
November 26–27: Closed for Thanksgiving
The ROC will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
