About BronxMama

I started BronxMama in 2008, when I was a new mom in the Bronx. What began as a place to share things to do with kids grew into something much bigger- it became a guide to discovering, experiencing and making the most of life in the Bronx. I’ve always believed that some of the best adventures start in your own backyard. You don’t have to get on a plane or even leave your borough to discover a new trail, find an amazing place to eat, experience art and culture, or meet interesting people- especially in the Bronx.

In 2023, I crossed back over the bridge to Queens and moved into my childhood home where I’ve been renovating and enjoying my next chapter. But after raising my family in the Bronx and spending so many years telling its stories, my connection to the borough didn’t disappear when my address changed. If anything, BronxMama has become a bit of a love letter to a place that gave my family so many memories and shaped such a huge part of my life. I am so glad I got to raise my daughters in the Bronx.

At its heart, BronxMama is still about what it was always about: helping you make the most of where you live. Whether you’re looking for a new area of the Bronx to explore, a good restaurant, something to do with your family, in need of a resource, or simply a reason to fall in love with your own backyard again — I hope you find it here.
