Evening in the Garden: Bats of the Bronx Talk and Walk
Join our all-star lineup of experts for a peek at the secret life of bats that live in and migrate through the Bronx. Begin with an indoor presentation on the diversity of urban bats and their importance to our ecosystem, then venture out onto the grounds to search for these nocturnal creatures at Wave Hill using an echo-locator. Bat Conservationist Danielle Gustafson and Bradley Klein of the New York City Bat Group lead this special, after-hours program. Don’t forget your flashlight! Adults, and children ages 10 and older are welcome with an adult. The program fee includes admission to the grounds and the performance at the Aquatic Garden at 7:15 p.m. Visit the Evening in the Gardens event page for additional ticketing options. Rain date: Aug 18. Registration required online or by calling (718) 549-3200 ext. 251. Space is limited; Questions? Please email us at information@wavehill.org or call the telephone number and extension above. Walks follow a route along mixed-material pathways with varying elevations.
