Volunteer for Weekly Clean Ups in Starlight & Concrete Plant Park

Garbage in our parks has long been an issue- but especially so since the pandemic. Fortunately, a lot of folks around our borough have come together to initiate cleanups all around the Bronx. So we’re happy to share that the Bronx River Alliance is currently hosting weekly cleanups on Mondays at Starlight & Concrete Plant Park to tackle the weekend’s mess. Timberland Helps Restore Community Garden in the Bronx

  Last week 100+ volunteers from Timberland and its partners kicked off a five-year commitment to create and restore outdoor spaces- and their first stop was here in the Bronx. The project kicked off in the South Bronx in partnership with local non-profit GrowNYC, dedicated to transforming the United We Stand garden, a 32,000 sq. ft. space in the Mott Haven neighborhood.   The United We Stand garden was once four community
