The new Elisa Contemporary Art gallery exhibit, The Human Spirit, honors the ability to persevere when our world has forever changed. On this 10th anniversary of 9/11, the gallery exhibit celebrates the human spirit and the ability to persevere…when everything around us has so dramatically changed. The exhibit opens on September 9th and runs through November 5th.
Never underestimate kid power. That’s the message of the Bronx Children’s Museum’s Dream Big program, which on Saturday celebrated the completion of its second summer of children’s workshops at community centers throughout the borough with a day of festivities hosted by Hostos Community College. The kids lived up to the message, using their power to attract important mentors, including this year’s honoree, United States Surgeon General Regina Benjamin.

Elisa Contemporary Art is pleased to present their new Riverdale gallery show,Art+Technology opening on May 20th and running through August 20th. It’s a great exhibit for the whole family. This exhibit explores the intersection of the Internet, Social Media and Digital Technologies in today’s contemporary Art. The exhibit includes a series of paintings by emerging Turkish artist, Yasemin Kackar-Demirel which bring in text and conversations directly from her Facebook pages.
