If you have a child who loves acting, performing, or simply being creative, Blue Pearl Theatrics is accepting applications for its Youth Performing Arts Conservatory, a conservatory-style acting program for young performers ages 7 to 14. Open enrollment runs through October 24. The program is designed for both beginners who are discovering acting for the first time and young performers who already have some experience and want to continue developing their skills.
The Conservatory offers training in:
- Acting fundamentals
- Scene study
- Character development
- Movement for the actor
- Improvisation
- Ensemble work
- Audition and performance preparation
The program uses acting games and hands-on exercises to help children build concentration, listening skills, physical awareness, imagination and confidence while learning how to work as part of an ensemble. Students will get to experience the process of creating theater, from learning the fundamentals and rehearsing scenes to ultimately participating in a fully staged production.
