Too Good To Go connects you with restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores and other food businesses that have extra food at the end of the day. Instead of that food going to waste, you can purchase it through the app for a discounted price. The food comes in what the app calls a Surprise Bag, so you don’t always know exactly what you’re getting. You choose the restaurant or store and the type of bag, and then pick it up during the scheduled pickup time.
There are a number of Bronx restaurants currently offering Surprise Bags through the app.
Webste Cafe & Diner has a $7.99 Surprise Bag with a stated value of $24. The bag may include entree, side, and dessert.
Bedford Deli has a $4.99 bag filled with chicken/lamb/rice/salad dishes.
Karibbean Krave in Westchester Squae offers a $4.99 Surprise Bag advertised at a $15 value.
There are also grocery options.
Foodtown on West Avenue has offered a $9.99 grocery Surprise Bag with a stated value of $30.
FreshDirect’s Bronx location also has $9.99 options, including grocery bags featuring things like produce, deli and dairy items.
