The NYC Wine & Food Festival returns October 15–18, bringing four days of tastings, dinners, chef experiences, cocktails and culinary events throughout the Seaport and Pier 17. The 19th annual festival will feature nearly 50 events and more than 300 chefs, winemakers, mixologists and culinary personalities. Tickets are on sale now, with individual events available if you don’t want to commit to the entire weekend. And one of the chefs featured at this year’s festival is someone Bronxites might know: Chef Kwame Onwuachi.
The James Beard Award-winning chef behind Tatiana at Lincoln Center grew up with strong Bronx roots, and his culinary journey began in his mother’s Bronx apartment. His cooking today reflects the places and cultures that shaped him, including the Bronx, Nigeria, the Caribbean and Louisiana. This year, Onwuachi will host New York After Dark on Saturday, October 17 as part of the festival’s Norwegian Cruise Line Rooftop Series. The event takes place from 7:15–10 p.m. at the Rooftop at Pier 17.
