Panera Bread is opening its second bakery-café in the Bronx on Wednesday, January 21 at 7:00 a.m., located at 4770 Third Ave. The new café marks Panera’s 151st location in New York. To celebrate, Panera will host a “baguette breaking” ceremony, and the first 100 guests in line will receive free meals for a year. Starting at 7:00 a.m. on opening day, the first 100 guests will receive a year of You Pick Two® meals, allowing customers to mix and match soups, salads, and sandwiches each month.
*MyPanera membership required. One meal per month for 12 months, redeemable via promo code.
This Bronx location features Panera’s urban format, designed for busy neighborhoods and on-the-go guests. The space has:
- Smaller than traditional Panera cafés
- Self-ordering kiosks and a fully digitized menu
- Limited counter seating, with most service focused on takeout and quick pickup
From opening day through March 21, 2026, local nonprofits — including schools, sports teams, and scout groups — can host fundraising events at the new Panera location. During each event, 30% of net sales will be donated back to the participating organization.
