BODYARMOR transforms Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx with NBA trainer Chris Brickley

NBA Skills Trainer and BODYARMOR partner Chris Brickley bonds with Kips Bay Boys & Girl Club kids as the brand unveils its new role as the official hydration partner of the Boys & Girls Club of America.

On Friday, BODYARMOR and the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx officially launched a new national partnership aimed at keeping kids active, hydrated, and supported both on and off the field. The day brought more than 100 BODYARMOR employees to the club, along with NBA Skills Trainer Chris Brickley—a former Boys & Girls Club kid himself. Brickley grew up at the Derry Boys & Girls Club, where the basketball court first sparked his passion for the game. Today, he’s one of the most influential trainers in pro basketball, working with some of the sport’s biggest stars. Coming back to a Boys & Girls Club to inspire Bronx youth was a full-circle moment he credits as foundational to his journey.

Volunteers spent the day transforming spaces kids use daily, from painting and cleaning to organizing and unveiling a vibrant new mural. On the courts, Brickley joined local kids for games, skill sessions, and friendly competitions—encouraging them to build healthy habits while reminding them that anything is possible with dedication and hard work.

The event also marked the launch of the new Sports Kit Program, which will provide more than 7,000 kids across the country—including many right here in the Bronx—with sports gear, hydration, and programming to encourage active lifestyles. It comes at an important time: less than 30% of kids currently meet recommended physical activity guidelines, and nearly 70% of non-athlete youth are dehydrated. By pairing BGCA’s legacy of youth development with BODYARMOR’s focus on better-for-you hydration, the partnership ensures young people have the resources to move, grow, and thrive.
