If you haven’t made your way to the Bronx Zoo’s Holiday Lights yet this season, there are two fun events coming up that are the perfect reason to- holiday caroling and a New Year’s Eve countdown! We’ve made Holiday Lights a family tradition and look forward to kicking off the holiday season with our visit each year. While there is plenty to see and do every day of this magical attraction, here’s the scoop on these two fun events:

Nights of Caroling
From December 26-30, visitors get a chance to enjoy some of their favorite holiday music performed by carolers in Dancing Crane Cafe. Sip on hot chocolate and sing along! From 4:30-8:30pm.
Dancing Crane Cafe is newly-renovated with expanded menu choices that benefit our local community, reduce plastic, and support the Wildlife Conservation Society’s mission to save wildlife and wild places.
Family-friendly New Year’s Eve countdown
Ring in the New Year a few hours early after enjoying an evening of holiday lights. There will be three fun countdowns at 7,8, and 9pm with “larger than life” stilt performers. Takes place on Astor Court, complete with a holiday tree show that features synchronized musical light performances, with more trees than ever before.’

- Hundreds of wildlife animal lanterns across 6 animal lantern trails. This includes the Forest of Color, featuring larger-than-life lanterns of species that display some of the brightest colors on Earth, including hummingbirds, poison dart frogs, iridescent snails, and more.
- New LED light shows, the dazzling walk-through tunnel, the beloved holiday tree, and musical performances
- There’s also a fun holiday train, ice carving demos, animal-themed stilt walkers, a wildlife theater, and seasonal treats.
And don’t forget, Holiday Lights is a an all-outdoors event. So be sure to bundle up and make room for warm hot chocolate and s’mores that you can roast yourself!
