This summer, NYC Restaurant Week is celebrating 30 years with 30 days of restaurant specials. From July 18th to August 21st, New Yorkers can enjoy pre-fixe menus at hundreds of restaurants across the city. While we wish more Bronx restaurants were participating, we’re excited to see some Bronx staples offering up specials for the month. See below which Bronx restaurants are participating in the NYC Restaurant Week this summer:
Flava’s Restaurant and Lounge
Jamaican
The goal at Flava’s Restaurant and Lounge, in the Woodstock neighborhood in The Bronx, is to make diners feel the tropical breeze and experience yard-man and yard-woman flava style cooking that will have them coming back for more of their authentic Caribbean cuisine.
3114 Third Ave Bronx, NY 10451
Ice House Cafe
Italian
Overlooking the Throgs Neck Bridge, this family-owned spot is slammed during the summer months, and for good reason: the main courses are upscale (spinach and shrimp salad, chicken bruschetta, lobster bisque, baby lamb chops, Black Angus rib eyes) but the atmosphere is decidedly friendly. Make sure to leave room for their famous homemade napoleon.
140 Reynolds Ave. Bronx, NY 10465
Chocobar Cortés
Puerto Rican, Spanish
Chocolate Cortés is a 4th generation, family-owned, Caribbean, bean-to-bar chocolate manufacturing company, originally established in the Dominican Republic in 1929. In 2013, the Cortés family opened Chocobar Cortés, an innovative gastronomic space where chocolate is the celebrated ingredient, in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. They recruited chocolatier patissier chef Ricardo de Obaldía, a young Latin chef renowned for his elaborate and imaginative chocolate creations, to design a menu in which every dish incorporates chocolate in some way, shape or form. This new outpost opened in late 2021 in Mott Haven, the Bronx.
141 Alexander Ave. Bronx, NY 10454
Caridad Williamsbridge
Latin American, Cuban, Puerto Rican
This Bronx restaurant serves up Dominican, Puerto Rican, Cuban and South American–inspired dishes such as chicharron, codfish stew, arroz con pollo and chuletas (fried pork chops). Many things are available family-style.
1436 Williamsbridge Rd. Bronx, NY 10461
Arthur Avenue Fiasco
Italian
Arthur Avenue Fiasco, Roberto Paciullo’s fifth restaurant (Zero Otto Nove and Roberto’s are among the others), pays homage to the classic Italian American dishes in the real Little Italy, the Bronx’s Arthur Avenue. Favorites on the menu include the house-made rigatoni (sautéed with broccoli rabe and sausage, and topped with toasted almond and spicy pecorino cheese) and the chicken francese (melt-in-your-mouth egg-battered chicken in lemon sauce, served with homemade penne pasta).
2376 Arthur Ave. Bronx, NY 10458
Cafe Colonial
American (New), Latin American
Café Colonial Restaurant & Grill was named for the Colonial City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is the historic central neighborhood of Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. The Bronx restaurant serves homemade New American/Latin fusion dishes including churrasco, Tres Golpes, a Dominican burger, and traditional Mangu—a Dominican dish made with plantains.
2072 White Plains Rd. Bronx, NY 10462
Patsy’s Pizzeria – Morris Park
Italian
Patsy’s Pizzeria Morris Park is located on Morris Park Avenue, a bustling street of restaurants and shops that’s a little more than a mile from the Bronx Zoo. The family-friendly Italian restaurant makes authentic New York–style pizza using a coal-fired brick oven, and serves salads and pasta too. Patsy’s has space for up to 70 guests for events and parties, with prix-fixe group options and specially priced party menus.
980 Morris Park Ave. Bronx, NY 10462
Shanghai Red
Asian Fusion, Latin American, Fusion
Located in Westchester Square, in the Bronx, Shanghai Red is a Chinese Latin fusion restaurant offering a wide array of dishes and signature cocktails that blend the two cuisines harmoniously for a taste you’ve never experienced before.
127 Westchester Ave. Bronx, NY 10461
Milk Burger – Mott Haven
Burgers

148 Bruckner Blvd. Bronx, NY 10454
Travesias
Latin American
The owners of Travesias (translated to English as “travels”) have visited many countries and always made sure to try the top-rated restaurants as well as the traditional “street food” each country has to offer. The Latin fusion cuisine at Travesias is a result of those travels, blending Latin with Asian, Latin with Indian, and even Latin with Latin. The amazing flavors and combinations will take you and your palate to places you have never been.
3834 E. Tremont Ave. Bronx, NY 10465
MichaelAngelo’s
Italian
MichaelAngelo’s is an Italian-American restaurant in the Arthur Avenue/Little Italy section of the Bronx. The coal-fired brick oven, one of New York’s largest, dates back to the early 1900s but was restored in 2009. Their chefs use only the freshest ingredients in their pizza, pasta, seafood and meat dishes. The outdoor patio, open year-round, is a great place to enjoy lunch, dinner and cocktails while listening to the calming sounds of the waterfall bar.
