Calling all middle schoolers to have fun while learning about the environment with free outdoor adventures this summer! The CityParks Green Girls Empowered by ING Summer Institute invites 6th-8th grade girls to have five weeks of fun-filled adventures learning about environmental science and STEM in their local parks.
Kicking off on July 5th, this free weekly program transforms local parks into a hands-on laboratory. From canoeing to conducting science experiments, bird-watching to studying climate change, Green Girls explore the dynamic ecosystems found around them in the Bronx. Students in the program also learn more about future careers in the sciences and their potential to advocate for positive change.
