Canoe & Sail on the Bronx River
Community Rowing takes place every Saturday and Sunday from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend out of Hunts Point Riverside Park. Through Community Rowing, New Yorkers of all ages explore the Bronx River aboard student-built wooden row boats, accompanied by Rocking the Boat staff who teach them about the local waterways. Sailing only takes place five times throughout the season.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and picnic and come celebrate 50 years of music in the Bronx. The BAE woodwind quintet will present an afternoon garden concert of the works curated by BAE’s founder, oboist Louise Scribner. Music from Beethoven to Valerie Coleman, a friend of BAE Paquito D’Rivera, Bronx native Oliver Caplan and one-time Bronx resident Béla Bartók.
