Ways You Can Help with Bronx Fire Relief

In true Bronx fashion, the borough came together overnight on Sunday after the borough’s horrific fire that claimed 17 lives- eight of which were children. In a matter of hours, drives were set up across the Bronx in an effort to collect clothing, toiletry, and bedding for the victims. We’ve added a highlight over on our Instagram account of flyers for the groups collecting, and as you can image some are at capacity thanks to the outpouring of donations from our fellow Bronxites.

In fact, Welcome2theBronx just shared that the GofundMe created for the victims has already raised almost 1 million dollars in just 48 hours.

How you can help:

  • One Bronxite Cynthia Prisco organized this great LIST of organizations collecting donations as well as those seeking volunteers to help sort and deliver the donations. Be sure to call ahead in case centers have reached capacity on donations.
  • Donate to the GoFundMe set up for the Gambian Youth Organization
  • Welcome2theBronx also shared some local businesses who are donating proceeds to the fire relief
  • Deb Cimini from District 8 in the Bronx put together this Amazon Smile list for folks to be bale to purchase items to donate to victims
