If you’re looking for a fun holiday experience not too far from the Bronx, head up to Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla for Westchester’s Winter Wonderland Drive-thru Experience. Presented by Westchester Park’s Foundation, this 1.2 mile drive-thru attraction features a fun snowstorm, a 40-foot Christmas tree, and an appearance from Santa.
Enjoy a 100-foot light tunnel while listening to holiday music. Proceeds from the event directly benefit Westchester Park’s Foundation and their 18,000 acres of parks, trails, and open spaces.
The Winter Wonderland Drive-thru ends with a fun appearance from Santa. Be sure to have your windows rolled down so kids can hear a special message from Mr. Claus himself.
Grabbing hot chocolate to enjoy during the drive-thru is a fun idea, or you can do what we did and stop by The Village Creamery & Sweet Shop just a few minutes down the road.
