Bronx Eateries Participating in Annual NYC Restaurant Week

As we head into the weekend and you begin to make plans, don’t forget that NYC Restaurant Week is back! NYC & Company’s NYC Restaurant Week® Summer 2021, is open for reservations at nycgo.com/restaurantweek for dining from Monday, July 19 through Sunday, August 22, 2021, with eateries able to opt in for one, multiple or all five weeks. While we do wish there were more Bronx restaurants participating, below is a list of some great eateries in the Bronx who are:

Mario’s Restaurant

Italian, Vegetarian

Belmont

It doesn’t get more Italian than Arthur Avenue, and this Bronx restaurant does its location proud. With favorites from manicotti to chicken parmigiana, the Miglucci family has been pleasing patrons since 1919. Mario’s is so authentic it once served as a filming location for the HBO series The Sopranos.

Charlie’s Bar & Kitchen

American (New)

South Bronx

New American cuisine—like strip steaks, fish and chips, pork chops, and tomato and mozzarella flatbreads—is the name of that game at this relaxed, upscale spot, nestled in the historic Clocktower Building. Round out a meal with a selection from the diverse wine and cocktail menu, featuring signature drinks like Spill the Tea (whiskey, green tea, lemon juice and peach).

The Boogie Down Grind

Hunts Point/Longwood

The self-proclaimed hip-hip coffee shop celebrates—and brings together—the community through art, music and caffeinated beverages. The locally owned and operated cafe pours a variety of espresso drinks; a mix of baked goods and savory sandwiches highlights the food menu.

Patsy’s Pizzeria-Morris Park

Italian, Pizza

Morris Park

Patsy’s Pizzeria Morris Park is located on Morris Park Avenue, a bustling street of restaurants and shops that’s a little more than a mile from the Bronx Zoo. The family-friendly Italian restaurant makes authentic New York–style pizza using a coal-fired brick oven, and serves salads and pasta too. Patsy’s has space for up to 70 guests for events and parties, with prix-fixe group options and specially priced party menus.

Addeo’s of the Bronx

Italian

Morris Park

A spin-off of Addeo & Sons Bakery, which has served the Arthur Avenue neighborhood for more than 80 years, this longtime family-owned restaurant offers Italian dishes in a casual dining room. Starters include burrata, baked clams oreganata and Nonna Angelina’s meatballs. Dig into pasta dishes like orechiette di Angelina or mains such as the New York strip or the oven-roasted branzino.

Ice House Cafe

Italian

Throgs Neck

Overlooking the Throgs Neck Bridge, this family-owned spot is slammed during the summer months, and for good reason: the main courses are upscale (spinach and shrimp salad, chicken bruschetta, lobster bisque, baby lamb chops, Black Angus rib eyes) but the atmosphere is decidedly friendly. Make sure to leave room for their famous homemade napoleon.
