Affordable Summer BBQ Essentials from Aldi + Giveaway

This summer, many families are making up for lost time by gathering with family and friends. That means plenty of BBQ’s, trips to the beach, and outings with friends. But hosting BBQ’s all summer can be costly, so we’ve partnered with Aldi to show you how to host a BBQ for up to 10 people for around $36. And we’re giving two $50 gift cards away for two lucky Bronxmama readers to host their own summer BBQ!

ALDI is doubling down on its commitment to keep prices as low as possible for shoppers and even reducing prices on popular summertime items. The average cost for everything you need for a summer BBQ at ALDI is $36.61. This means you can host a summer BBQ for up to 10 people for roughly what it costs to fill up your tank 

Below is an example of a summer BBQ menu you can grab at Aldi for less than $37.

  • 8 hot dogs (1 lb.) and buns 
  • 8 ¼-pound hamburgers (2 lbs. pre-cooked weight) and buns with cheese slices 
  • 4 lbs. pork spare ribs 
  • Ketchup and mustard 
  • 3 lbs. deli potato salad 
  • 28 oz. baked beans 
  • 15 oz. corn chips 
  • 2 qts. lemonade  
  • 1 whole watermelon

  3. Best bbq ingredients from Aldi are their strawberries, avocados, their veggie chips, and their inexpensive boneless pork chops which are easy to prep, cook on a grill and eat without a fuss! Yum!

  5. I shop at Aldi all the time. I love all their fresh produce. Their dips are delish too. The Mexican corn dip and some tortillas chips are a great snack at a BBQ.

  6. Some of my favorites (all year round) are the Big Dipper Tortilla Chips. I pair them with the Pineapple salsa (jar), the guacamole (from the fridges section, it comes 2 bags in a box), and any variety of the hummus (in the fridge section also) and you have everybody happy while the foods gets ready!

  8. My kid makes fun of my excitement planning my trip to Aldi! The hamburgers and hit digs are bbq staples but Aldi honey and soy sauce are necessary to season the various fresh meat I buy at Aldi. I use the fresh fruit and vegetables to decorate the bbq presentation.

  10. Our family enjoys shopping at Aldi! Great selection of produce, meats and canned goods at affordable prices. Our family cookouts always include some grilled veggies on the side, and my kids love the watermelon too!
