If you haven’t had a chance to check out American Dream just across the George Washington Bridge yet, their latest opening of the SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center are two new reasons to add it to your summer bucket list. We recently had a chance to check out both SEA LIFE and LEGOLAND Discovery Center before their official grand opening on Tuesday June 15th, and want to give you a sneak peek!
American Dream is a retail and entertainment complex located in the Meadowlands Sports Complex just across the bridge in New Jersey. It seems like each week a new attraction or retail store is opening- so be sure to follow them to see the latest updates.

New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium is made up of 10 themed zones with a “City Under the Sea” theme. Start off on the 6 train (totally appropriate for us Bronxites) and explore what’s below the Hudson River. Then make your way towards the open ocean where you’ll experience everything from sharks, to eels, to seahorses.
We loved how interactive it was for the kids- plenty of places for them to pop their heads in and see the sea life up close and personal. Walk through tunnels, watch jellyfish change colors by changing the lighting in their tank, and stroll along 5th Avenue to see the ocean version of our beloved NYC landmarks.

Right next door to SEA LIFE is the new LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Here you can jump on the Imagination Express for an interactive ride, watch a 4D movie, spend hours building at LEGO Friends, have lunch at the LEGO Cafe, and more.

Tickets for SEA LIFE and LEGOLAND Discovery Center can be purchased separately, or there is a combo ticket option if you’d like to do both the same day. Of course, there are also season passes available for those LEGO lovers who want to visit often.
