  2. A Favorite Memory in the Bronx with my mother figure, was when she used to care after my daughter while I was a full-time working Mom. My mother started babysitting my daughter from the time she 3 months until 7 months old, until she could not bare it anymore due to medical conditions. I am still thankful to this day to have her there, helping me with my daughter. She did what she could and my daughter is connected with her because of those moments.

    1. My favorite childhood memory is with my mom and Aunt spent at Arthur Ave. We would walk thru the blooming botanical gardens to Arthur Ave and the first stop was picking up fresh warm bread at Terranova bakery. I always enjoyed watching the bread be sliced slowly thru the machine. Next stop was at the market to pick up fresh tomatoes and fragrant basil or meats for Sunday sauce or preparing jars of mason sauce during the summer. The last stop was always at Artuso bakery where my mom would treat me to Lily with nuts ice. Thank you Mom for the fond memories that we can share and visit to this day at Arthur Ave.

  13. We were poor so it was an absolute treat to have pizza on East Tremont Avenue in the South Bronx. My Mom
would take me there when she could. To me, it was the best pizza in the world. I do not remember the name of the pizza shop. . I always had my slice with delicious fruit punch from the fountain.
