Shake Shack Opening First Bronx Location in Bay Plaza + Gift Card Giveaway

Exciting news for Bronx Shake Shack lovers- the Bronx is finally getting a Shake Shack location on Thursday April 1st. The Bronx is the last borough to finally have a Shake Shack location, and will be located at 344 Baychester Ave in Bay Plaza.

Grand Opening Date & Time: Thursday, April 1st at 11 AM

The Bay Plaza Shack will be open from 11 AM – 11 PM daily. Dine-in guests will be allowed at limited capacity, and there will be a covered outdoor-patio for guests to enjoy their food outdoors.

The Bay Plaza Shack will serve up Shake Shack’s full menu featuring all the classics, including the ShackBurger®, crinkle-cut fries and hand-spun shakes. The Shack will also open with three exciting, limited time featured lemonades: Mango Passionade, Blackberry Lychee Lemonade and Strawberry Salted Limeade.

Guests can expect more delicious featured items to roll out in the coming weeks. Starting this summer, the Bay Plaza Shack will also proudly serve a selection of local beers from The Bronx Brewery.

Guests will be able to place orders to-go at the Shack or preorder for pickup or delivery via the Shack app. The Bay Plaza Shack will also feature a walk-up window as part of Shake Shack’s new Shack Track – Shake Shack’s digital pre-ordering and fulfillment experience. Shack Track includes the ability to preorder via app or web and pick up by way of drive-up window, walk up window, curbside pick-up or in-Shack pick-up shelves.

To celebrate the grand opening, Shake Shack is giving away two $25 gift cards to two Bronxmama readers to enjoy lunch on us! Giving Back to the Bronx

Shake Shack to Sponsor South Bronx United Soccer Team

To celebrate Shake Shack’s first Bronx location, the Bay Plaza Shack is overjoyed to sponsor one of a South Bronx United travel soccer team. South Bronx United aims to help youth build character, teamwork, and leadership so that they can succeed in high school, college, careers, their community and beyond.

Bronx Native Giveaway

The first wave of guests on opening day can expect a surprise and giveaway custom made from Bronx Native.

Donating Meals to Co-Op City’s Vaccination Site

As part of our larger mission to Stand for Something Good®, the Bay Plaza Shack will be donating meals to the neighboring Co-Op City’s new vaccination site, located at the Dreiser Center Auditorium at 177 Dreiser Loop, Bronx, New York. Current New York City vaccination statistics show that 24 percent of adults in the surrounding Co-Op City zip code are fully vaccinated. This is slightly above the average for the Bronx. However, Bronx vaccination numbers are well above the Citywide average for Black and
Latino communities. Once again, Co-op City is leading the way in the march towards success.

Trained Riverbay staff persons are continuing to take calls, and schedule Covid vaccination appointments for Co-op City residents on the hot line number. Residents who wish to schedule a vaccination appointment should call, 718-879-5950, Mondays through Fridays from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
