Partnerships for Parks (PfP), a joint program of NYC Parks and City Parks Foundation, is launching its first-ever exhibition, It’s Our Park: 25 Years of Communities in Action on February 17th. The digital photo gallery celebrates the program’s 25 years of public service through nearly 150 photographs that tell the stories of community volunteer groups and the impact they have had on their neighborhoods.
Guests can register for this virtual launch event on February 17th from 6-8pm here.
This collection of images and stories sourced directly from New York City community leaders, the PfP staff who work with them, and the NYC Parks’ archives; celebrates our community partners, telling their stories through their eyes and showing the transformation possible when people come together in their neighborhood parks to effect change.
At this special event, we will explore the past, present, and future of parks with a panel discussion and celebrate our work with a virtual tour.
Featured speakers include:
- Tim Tompkins, founder, Partnerships for Parks
- Sabina Saragoussi, director, Partnerships for Parks
- Heather Lubov, executive director, City Parks Foundation
- Mitchell J. Silver, FAICP, commissioner, NYC Parks
