NYC & Company Launches The Black Experience in NYC: New Resource Guide Highlighting Black Culture & Experiences

To celebrate Black History Month, New York City’s marketing and tourism agency, NYC & Company, just launched The Black Experience in NYC. This new permanent resource guide will highlight black culture and experiences throughout the city for both locals and visitors.

New York City has the largest Black population of any city in the United States – and  is the most visited urban destination in the US by Black travelers. It’s no secret that Black culture is integral to New York City’s identity, from its world-renowned music and style, celebrated food scene, the visual and performing arts, local businesses, and more. And we’re excited to see how this new platform grows.

Through NYC & Company’s Black Experience, visitors will be able to encounter neighborhood guides, videos, interviews, articles, roundups of Black-owned businesses and love letters from the local Black community all in one centralized place.

The Black-Owned Neighborhood Guides will continue to grow and feature additional neighborhoods.

The Black Experience in NYC also spotlights Black History and Culture Sites in the five boroughs and ways to support the City’s Black community including Black-Owned Restaurants and Black-Owned Shops, among other resources.
