The Holiday Train Show is already a staple must-see during the holidays in the Bronx- but we also love their special Bar Car Nights for adults only during this whimsical event. While I love to bring the kids to see the train show, there is just something special about a date night at the garden with winter music and lights, a glass of bubbly, and other enchanting winter scenes. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard that the newly formed Bronx Night Market was going to now be a part of these fun Bar Car Nights.
While I love Bar Car Nights for a romantic date night, it is also a great night with friends. So I called up my friend Melissa from Windows of Hip Hop and we headed to the garden for a fun evening. Now with the addition of the Bronx Night Market, you will find an outdoor bar along with a selection of food vendors each Bar Car Night.
Tip: While the train show is indoors, many of the other activities are outdoors- be sure to bundle up and enjoy the beautiful fires!
We tried food from two vendors- the BX Burger Co and a delicious Filipino BBQ called Barbecue on a Stick. So good!! It was nice to have a bite to eat while at the show along with some vino to help keep us warm. Of course, apple cider, hot chocolate, and coffee were also an option.
On your route to the Conservatory, be sure to stop to see some of the holiday magic along the way. Carolers, ice carving, and more!
Once inside the conservatory, grab a drink and enjoy the magic that is the Holiday Train Show. Once you’ve made your way through, there are plenty of little spaces inside the green house to just hang out and enjoy a drink.
Cocktails under the rain forest? That’s always a fun night.
