Last night members of the community filled the auditorium at Lehman High School to hear from NYC Parks about the restoration of the Orchard Beach Pavilion. Bronxites had the chance to meet the architects, learn more about the process, and share their ideas for the future of Orchard Beach. If you’re looking for a little holiday adventure, check out the Holiday Light Show at Shady Brook Farm in Yardley, Pennsylvania. A little under 2 hours from the Bronx, this working farm has a spectacular light show, Christmas trees, a farmers market, and lots of firepits for making s’mores and sipping hot cocoa. The light show costs $30 per car ride, and they also have wagon rides
The Holiday Train Show is already a staple must-see during the holidays in the Bronx- but we also love their special Bar Car Nights for adults only during this whimsical event. While I love to bring the kids to see the train show, there is just something special about a date night at the garden with winter music and lights, a glass of bubbly, and other enchanting winter scenes.
