Last week we had a chance to stop in and check out the new The Coffee Break Company on Philip Avenue in the Bronx. They officially opened for their soft launch back in September and have so far proven to be a welcomed staple in the neighborhood offering both coffee, baked goods, lunch items, and more.
The logo itself is a clock, so it’s no surprise the walls are covered in a fun collection of them. There’s also some cute vintage coffee signs, a vintage radio, and even a table at the center of it all filled in with coffee beans- a true coffee lovers dream.
We opted to go for the Hazelnut lattes- made with La Colombe, a U.S coffee roast. I must say, it was delicious. While I was a little hesitant about their limited option of syrups (Where’s my pumpkin spice!?), I quickly forgot once I took that first sip. In fact, I’m sure it would have been just as good without a flavor- and I’m a flavored latte girl through and through.
As far as baked goods, we tried the small pumpkin pie bites and coconut cupcakes. The coconut cupcake was good, but those pumpkin pie bites were amazing! I will definitely be back for both a latte and another mini pumpkin pie.
There were plenty of other goodies that are baked right on the premises that we didn’t have a chance to try- but will be sure to make our way down the list each time we go.
The menu at The Coffee Break Company is separated into three categories- Coffee, Sweet, and Savory. Catering is also available for private gatherings and local events.
The Grand Opening will be held on November 15th, and there are plenty of events in store for local families. For more information and to keep up with upcoming events, follow The Coffee Break Company on Instagram and Facebook.
