Last week we hopped on the NYC Ferry Soundview Route and made our way to Domino Park in Williamsbridge Brooklyn. Built on the site of the former Domino Sugar Refinery, this waterfront park has a playground, fountain, beach volleyball, an elevated walkway, a taco spot, and more.
The 6-acre public park spans a quarter mile along the East River and makes for a fun day trip with the kids to take in the sights on the ferry and then a fun afternoon enjoying the park.
To get there, simply take the Soundview Route to 34th Street Landing and transfer to the East River Ferry to either the North or South Williamsburg Landing.

When we arrived, we stopped by the Tacocina taco stand for some yummy tacos. The stand is open from 11 am to 10 pm Sunday to Thursday and 11 am to 11pm Friday and Saturdays.

After, we spent the rest of our afternoon on the playground, in the sprinklers, and taking in the view before heading back to the Bronx via ferry.
Tickets for the NYC Ferry are $2.75 per person- with children under 44 inches free. For more information visit www.ferry.nyc.
