Recap: Bronx Mom’s Nite Out

On May 10th, Geanine Cilenti of Trendy Chaos and myself hosted Bronx Mom’s Nite Out #BXMNO at the Bronx Residence Inn. The Thursday before Mother’s Day is National Mom’s Nite Out- and Geanine and I wanted to be sure our favorite Bronx mamas could celebrate! If you weren’t able to make it- you were sorely missed and we hope to catch you next year! Here’s a recap of the fun:

While the event was hosted at the perfect location for a Bronx staycation, our presenting sponsor was the Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau who were on hand to talk travel with our guests. If you follow along on our travel adventures, then you know that the Poconos are one of our favorite local travel destinations- with so much to do in every season with family, friends, or even just for a romantic escape.

DJ Narotic was on hand all evening providing the perfect soundtrack to a fun and relaxing evening for our guests. And to really make it a night for moms, the Residence Inn’s bar created a menu of fun Mom-themed cocktails like the MOMosa, Summer Mama, and Mamacita’. So good! Thanks to Daniel Pacheco of Dream Pictures NY– he was there to capture every moment!

The Crosstown Diner did not disappoint with an insane selection of yummy bites throughout the evening- one guest told us she felt like she had traveled the world with the food options they provided- Sushi anyone?!

Mother’s Day manis were given all night courtesy of Pink Princess Nails. Moms also enjoyed massages and tarot card readings throughout the evening as well as makeup tips from Rosa Finelli.

Moms also had the chance to learn about Story Time Chess– a revolutionary game that teaches young children how to play chess, as young as the age of three!

Moms also had the chance to shop some of our favorite local Bronx Mom bosses and their goods. Kathryn, who is an independent stylist for Stella & Dot had some beautiful pieces on hand- from jewelry to handbags, to other cute accessories.

Christina of Chrissy’s Creations was also showing off her awesome customized gifts and accessories- you can always count on Christina to have the cutest ideas for each holiday– and Mother’s Day was no different.

We also had some great presentations and demos for our guests- including a great organization presentation from Apartment Jeanie. She shared some easy ways to get organized and reduce stress. One thing you can do now- empty out that purse each day when you get home and put away what you don’t need to be carrying around, and throw out any lingering receipts, wrappers, and other unwanted mess.

Then, Sharon from TCK Warriors showed off some important self defense moves that every woman should know.

Finally, Boriana Deltcheva gave our ladies some dance instructions to get those hips moving. Boriana and her husband Delyan are not only world champions in the dance world, they also started a baby food and toddler meal delivery service called First Spoons– proving that moms really can do it all!

Throughout the evening we also raffled off some great prizes from local businesses and our favorite brands

Each mom went home with a gift bag filled with some great samples and information from our awesome sponsors. Some of the items inside included Vaseline lotion, Honest Tea, Hola! Magazine, Bronx Family magazine, goodies from Duane Reade’s Look Boutique, incense and sachets from Banyan Tree, samples from Regular Girl, GoGo Squeeze, Money Munchkins, and more!

Overall, it was such a fun event and we hope we made each mom in attendance happy! To see the entire photo album from the evening, check out our Facebook page.
