With summer fast approaching, this is usually the month that I start getting my little one ready to swap out the old clothes & shoes- out with the old and in with the new. And when it comes to summer, there are so many functional options out there- but not all are as ‘fashion forward’ and as practical as I would like. Thankfully I received an invite to view Stride rite’s new line of kicks to see what options are available this season.
Walking 101
Toddler feet grow up to a half size every three months- Stride Rite
Stride Rite is no stranger when it comes to the soles of little feet. In fact, the first thing that caught my attention at Stride Rite’s event was their ‘The Evolution of an Icon’ table. It was an awesome display that captured the evolution of the beloved ‘white baby bootie’ from 1919 to present day. And to this day, the brand carries the perfect shoes for those beginning to walk. In fact, they’ve even got a great fact page full of info for parents of little ones transitioning to walking.
The entire Stride Rite line consists of a few favorites of mine, but my current obsession has to be the Made2Play® Phibian. Even the name is cool! Phibian’s can’t get any more convenient. They have an easy velcro strap and bungee cord laces for a snug fit. The soles have great grips to prevent slipping and the breathable mesh material helps with those little stinky feet. Not to mention they are machine washable- and, drum roll please….. they are water proof!
This sneaker/water shoe hybrid is awesome. I can’t tell you how many time we have ended up in a park with sprinklers and I was not prepared. Now I don’t have to worry about carrying extra shoes, just take off his socks and GO! These babies allow my toddler the freedom to run, jump, play and puddle jump (his personal favorite).
While the Phibian has proven itself to be my personal favorite this season, Stride Rite has footwear for all occasions. For those dressy casual summer nights, we also favored the Prescott shoe. These shoes are built for your toddlers foot needs. Part of the SRTECH line, Prescotts are built with sensory pads, flexibility, a memory foam inner sole and not to forget their clean, preppy, and super classy look.
It doesn’t stop there though, don’t forget that Keds, Sperry, Merrell, and Saucony are all part of the Stride Rite family and have tons of great styles that match the adult shoes so you can really rock the mommy and me look. There were lots of NEW metallic too- all of Stride rite’s styles can be found at www.striderite.com. And to make things even better, Stride Rite always offers free shipping & returns. You can also sign up for savings and special offers while you’re at it.
