colsurvivorsigimageLooking for something different for the kids to do over the upcoming break? Just 30 minutes from the Bronx at Phillipsburg Manor, kid’s can sign up for their Colonial Survivor program and experience up to three days of 18th century living.

Do you have what it takes to survive as an 18th-century kid? Test your coloni-ability in this fun competition, and discover what life was like before electricity and gas engines!

Working with a team of new friends, participants encounter a series of challenges of everyday survival for New York colonists:

  • Build a sturdy fence for your crops.
  • Haul 50 pounds of grain to the second floor of the mill.
  • Grind grain into flour and bake it into your own bread.
  • Transform fleece from a shaggy, dirty mess into a finished woven fabric.

Come experience this unplugged, outdoor, immersive fun time!

What do you need to bring? A positive attitude, a bag lunch, and good outdoor shoes. A snack is provided.

Each day is a totally different experience. Join us for one day or all four!
