Consideration brought to you by Momtrends

Even though we may be bracing ourselves for a winter storm tonight, I think most of us have our fingers crossed that Spring truly is going to make it’s appearance next week as planned. And even if Mother Nature decides to play with our emotions a little longer, we’ve got some fun craft and snack ideas from Wonderful Halos that might warm your spirits up until then.
We recently spent a Saturday afternoon at the Children’s Museum of the Arts with Momtrends and Halos learning some cute craft and recipe ideas using the popular mandarin brand. Rather than unhealthy sweets during a kid’s party or weekend craft, why not pick up a box of Halos and let kids go to town. Let’s start with the crafts…
Halos Flower
This seemed to be one of the favorites among the kids and is a super cute idea for a Spring birthday party. Just a small flower pot, shredded green paper for grass, a strong paper straw, a Halo, and a cupcake holder- and you’ve got a fun Halo flower. The kids also had fun taking it beyond the flower and creating their own funky designs.
Halos Chick & Bunny
Both the Halos Chick and Bunny were also very cute. For the chick, all you need is some googly eyes, yellow construction paper, and yellow pipe cleaners. Kids can cut the wings and beak out of the paper and then insert the pipe cleaner feet. Glue dots work best, but with a little drying time regular glue worked well too.
For the bunny, you’ll need white and pink paper, white pipe cleaner, googly eyes, and a cotton ball for the tail.
When it came to the snacking, Halos really impressed us with the recipe ideas. From simple chocolate covered Halos to mandarin salsa, it was all delish. These Prosciutto Bruschetta Bites were one of our faves.
