Free Art Workshop at the Huntington Free Library

 

unnamed (1)The Bronx Council on the Arts and the Huntington Free Library are hosting a fun afternoon of fun on Saturday February 18th for InkBlots with Laura Alvarez. “InkBlots” will give you the freedom to doodle on top of random ink stains, letting your hand draw free over the colors, creating different shapes, faces and monsters. Mid Winter Recess Workshops at Pink Princess Nails

Kids Week Bronx: Orienteering for Kids

 

compassHead over to the Pelham Bay Nature Center in Pelham Bay Park on Monday February 20th for an afternoon of fun. The Urban Park Rangers will teach children how to navigate to hidden objects placed around the park using a map and compass. Family Workshops at Wave Hill

 

unnamedThe fun of Wave Hill’s Family Art Projects are stretched into the week with fun nature inspired projects from the 21st to the 23rd. Tuesday create winter weather tapestries with soft yarn, puffy snowball pompoms and crystalline beads, and hang it from a found twig to evoke the textures of a snowy day. Then Wednesday sculpt a soft, wintry creature of your own imagining with fleecy fibers, warm water and soap. Then add beads, baubles and natural materials to embellish your cool creation. Lastly on Thursday memorialize your favorite winter scene in a 3-D painting using an icy palette and layers of acetate sheets to give your scene depth. Finish your work with a sparkly, snowy frame. 1 Day Mini Camp at Confetti Kids

  3. This is a great article , very informative . I will definitely share ,I know tons of Mom’s ready to hide under the bed or in a closet till the week is up. The botanical gardens I’d probably the only place my son Noah has yet to visit. I know he would surely enjoy this experience as much as my family and I would.
