For those with kids who celebrate Valentine’s Day, you know it’s more about at what point you can squeeze in a few hours alone than getting reservations at a fancy restaurant. Here are five days worth of fun little Valentine’s date ideas that you can try to squeeze in- including some ideas you can bring the kids to.

Friday, February 10th



Stop in for Happy Hour at the Bronx Museum between 5-8 pm for a drink, then enjoy their Get Down in the Boogie Down with It’s Showtime NYC event to watch street and subway dancers showcase dance styles and open the floor for all guests to join.

Saturday, February 11th

Listen to this renowned woodwind ensemble Quintet of the Americas, with flutist Karla Moe, oboist Matt Sullivan, clarinetist Paul Won Jin Cho, hornist Barbara Oldham, and bassoonist Gina Cuffari.

Then, head over to Artist & Craftsman Supply on White Plains  Rd. to peruse the aisles and purchase some materials to have a fun night in at home making homemade Valentine’s Day cards or enjoy a family paint night.

Sunday, February 12th

Later, drop the kids off on the way to Valentine’s Weekend at the New York Botanical Garden. Enjoy chocolate seminars and tastings, a pop up bar- even have your own poem written by a professional poet.
