That title is misleading- I live in a railroad apartment, so I have no halls! But, I’m excited to share how I added some new pieces to this year’s holiday decor thanks to Big Lots! After attending an event last month showcasing their Holiday 2016 collection, I was excited to choose some of my favorites. From ornaments to bedding, I chose some fun pieces to help winterize my apartment.

The Tree

When it comes to the tree, I love a few styles. Woodland, silver & gold, burlap, and all white. So I usually  blend my favorites together to create our tree each year. Big Lots! has made it easy to shop holiday decor thanks to their easy to browse categories- Shimmer Collection, Traditions Collection, and Woodland Collection.

First thing I chose were a 3 pack of winter bird ornaments. These snow-touched birds clip onto the branches and add the perfect touch to our tree.

I also loved these white glitter sleigh ornaments, which also came in a 3-pack at a great price.

A big hit at the holiday party were these adorable hedgehog ornaments. They can be placed in the tree or used in a fun winter tablescape.

To top the tree, I chose this white deer head tree topper. The kids couldn’t wait to see the sparkly moose placed on top of the tree.

The girls loved the new ornaments for our tree and were the perfect little helpers.

I also chose some garland to hang over the french doors next to the tree. At the Big Lots! party, they decorated the garland with the white snow-touched birds- which I loved. We haven’t decided what we want to do with ours year- but love how it looks as is too.

The Bedroom

I’m obsessed with faux furs and shine during the winter. So I chose a Cream Mink Tiger Faux Fur comforter and these Antique Ivory Savannah Faux Fur Throw Pillows, which come in a 2-pack.

While our tree gives off the real deal pine smell, I still love lighting this Nordic Spruce “Joy” candle when guests come over. Throw on some holiday music, light the tree, and you’ve got the perfect setting for holiday entertaining.

Big Lots! can really make it easy and affordable to get into the holiday spirit. Simply adding a few fun pieces each year is the easiest way to update your holiday decor.
