Kid City Winter Clothing Haul

Earlier last week I headed to Kid City on Fordham Road in the Bronx for another fun winter haul challenge. With $100 gift certificate in hand, I made my way through the aisles to find my favorite pieces to make up the perfect collection to kick off this season’s wardrobe.  The key for me is to start with the staples- jeans, a coat, boots- and then find shirts and accessories as I go. For shirts and sweaters, I love to choose basic solids that will pair with everything. On this trip those pieces were a gray long sleeve shirt from Kid City’s own line and a cute gray poncho that would look cute with everything.

The first look was a pair of ripped burgundy jeans paired with the grey shirt, black flats, and a cute kitty headband that we scored for 99 cents while waiting in the check out line.

I just had to grab these cute Lee jeggings with a cotton waist line to pair with the gray shirt. The material is thick enough to keep Gia warm, but also stretchy enough to allow for her to have fun and be comfortable at school.

Next up I found another pair of jeggings, almost in a deep purple-ish color. These paired great with a cute pair of zebra flats- at less than 5 bucks, I couldn’t pass them up.

For more of a comfy ath-leisure look, I found these adorable sweat pants with a cute cat design at the bottom of the leg to once again pair with the grey long sleeved shirt. Worn with her favorite pair of sneakers, these will make any cozy outfit look stylish.

I couldn’t leave without scoring this cute knitted poncho that matches everything.

Another pair of jeans I had to have was this pair of gray denim pants with a black lace pattern on the side of the thigh. Add in the black flats and the fringed poncho and you’ve got an adorable outfit.

For the boots, we found these cute earth tone riding boots with fun gold stars- even the buckle is a star.

For the coat I scored this olive green jacket with faux leather accents. With front pockets, a fur hood, and a cinched waist- this jacket will look cute with almost everything.

I bought many of the jeans in a size up so Gia could get the most use out of them- and they can be layered with leggings underneath for those super cold NYC mornings.

The boots look super cute with the coat, and the gold kitty ear headband was the perfect addition to complete the look.

The cotton waist band jeans pair well with both sneakers or flats- tucking in the gray shirt and cuffing the jeans made this simple outfit stylish.
