Common Sense Parenting, is a no-cost parenting skills curriculum provided by the Soundview Family Resource Center in collaboration with Boystown that will begin on November 9th at 575 Soundview ave., Bronx NY 10473; from 10am-12pm. The 7-session Common Sense Parenting Classes will takes place in English for two hours on Wednesdays and will include free refreshments and childcare!
In addition, Common Sense Parenting Classes is ACS approved and fulfills court-mandated requirements for parenting skills classes, though many of our parents are voluntary participants.
Other Services at the Soundview Family Resource Center include:
- Infant and toddler play groups (Thursdays 2:45-4:30)
- Parent support groups
- Employment Workshops and computer Lab (e.g. resume writing, job searching, interviewing skills)
- Linkages to adult educational programs ( e.g. GED, ESL, Adult Basic Education)
- Linkages to community social services and resources (e.g. medical, legal, housing)
