Tackling Fall & Winter with Carhartt

While I love summer, Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Stepping outside to the cool crisp air with stylish layers on, and a hot latte in hand. Colorful foliage creating frame-worthy backdrops. Mini road trips to farms upstate to pick pumpkins and other fresh produce. It’s such a beautiful time to spend outdoors. Our family spends a lot of time outside, even as the temps drop and winter hits. We’re even a part of a nature club at the Bronx Zoo, where we meet alongside the Bronx River once a month for outdoor exploration and play. We build forts, explore habitats, and even go sledding. Most weather doesn’t stop us, especially when we have the right gear on. That’s why I love Carhartt.

When my girls are digging in the dirt or gathering sticks along the Mitsubishi River Walk by the zoo, I set the mom OCD aside and let them get dirty. I know that the Carhartt jackets are tough and easy to clean, and most importantly- keeping them warm.

As for mom and dad, we love our Carhartts too. I have a few light jackets that are great for school pick up in the rain, or hanging outside with the kids. But I also love when I wear some styles that people don’t expect from a brand like Carhartt. While it’s known for being durable and able to withstand tough conditions, they aren’t exactly what comes to mind when you think of style. So it’s been fun to change that perception, and be warm and comfortable while doing so.

My latest obsession is this Amoret Quilted Coat in Asphalt grey. The quilted texture with adjustable waist makes it the perfect coat to pair with cute boots and your favorite scarf.

Not too heavy, this jacket is perfect for fall weather, or layering it up as winter starts to hit. It’s super lightweight, and the material is water repellent.

As for men, I’m loving the Carhartt Force Extremes® Gilliam Jacket. This simple black jacket is perfect for dad to throw on when running around with the family. With its innovative 37.5 technology, it provides him warmth without bulk, so he’s able to move around freely and keep warm.

The 37.5 Technology keeps your body at its ideal temperature. The jacket also features zippered underarms for ventilation, two inside pockets, and Carstrong® reinforced sleeve hem and bottom hem.

While I wish it could stay fall until summer is ready to come back, I know that’s not a possibility. But at least my family is prepared to take on whatever crazy weather Mother Nature decides to throw at us. For more from Carhartt, visit www.carhartt.com.
