Calling all Aspiring Filmmakers and Star Wars fans!
We’ve got some fun news to share! To celebrate Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Disney and Lucasfilm will be hosting a fun “My Rogue Story” contest. For the challenge, kids ages 8 to 12 are invited to create their own original 2-minute video inspired by the upcoming movie. If you haven’t already seen these awesome fan-created stop motion animation videos featuring the Rogue One toys, check them out below:
The videos serve as some pretty awesome inspiration for your own short video. Children can get creative and really have fun with this contest- whether they want to use the newly released toys from the film, create their own costumes, or some other DIY fun. Let their imagination go crazy and impress the judges as they put their own original spin on Rogue One, which will be released in December.
Here’s some key info on the contest:
One winner + a parent/guardian will get to see an advance screening of the new Star Wars movie at Lucasfilm in San Francisco and watch their own “Rogue Story” on the big screen.
Disney Store locations in North America will be giving away free starter packs (while supplies last).
Disney Store has also released a free online video tutorial offering tips and tricks for creating a fun entry, complete with stop-motion animation instructions, special effects ideas and more.
For more info on the contest, which runs through Oct. 21 for kids ages 8-12, please visit Disney.com/MyRogueStory
(no purchase necessary to enter).
So hurry, and good luck- this contest ends soon! But Bronxmama will also have a few of our own winners too. To celebrate the fun, we’re giving away THREE PRIZE PACKS containing one vehicle, three 3.75-in. figures, and two 2-packs of 3.75-in figures. A total retail value of about $103 per package.
