We can’t believe we’re already 10 days into June either! June 19th is Father’s Day this year, so if you’re still looking for a customized gift that will arrive in time, then we love this personalized book idea from Twigtale.
In their World’s Greatest Dad book, kids can help customize the story about any special father figure in their life with photos and the ability to change the text of the book to fit the person they are describing.
For our book, we posted our favorite photos from the past few months and changed some of the text- since the book was coming from both daughters, we changed the text inside to our dad rather than my dad. We changed the text about him making the best pancakes to him making the best food (since he’s a chef but hardly makes pancakes!), but we did leave the semi-true text about him being the best at fixing things (hey, have to make him feel good!)
We loved how our book turned out- although for next time we will be sure to lighten our photos up a bit more because they printed a bit darker than we had hoped (our last family photo was outside and already a bit shadowy and dark, so we definitely should have lightened it up). There’s even a fun section in the back where the kids can write in their answers and really give it a fun customized look.
