Free and Open to the Public

Join photographer Kadir van Lohuizen for a book signing and discussion at the BDC as he shares work from his long-term project and book Via PanAm.

In Via PanAm, van Lohuizen follows the footsteps of migrants from the south of Chile to the northern reaches of Alaska, covering 15 countries along the Pan-American Highway. His photographs reflect migrant experiences, both historic and contemporary, and their complexities – the diverse motivations for coming and going, the struggles and successes, the economic, political, social and environmental contexts, as well as the intimate moments and stories.

Copies of Via PanAm will be available for purchase.

This event is held in conjunction with our current exhibition Via PanAm: The Pursuit for Happiness by Kadir van Lohuizen, on view until Dec. 13, 2015. Visit us:
Thursdays and Fridays 3-7PM
Saturdays and Sundays 1-5PM.
