#MomtrendsBTSBash
Each year, Momtrends hosts an event for local NYC bloggers to come out and learn about the latest in back to school so we can share with our readers. Check out Bronxmama writer Dalilah’s recap of the fun:

Hard to believe Summer is half way over and I’ll have to start getting my kid ready for back to school in the next few weeks. Here are few cool items and services that were on display at Wednesday nights #MomtrendsBTSBash.
1. Wall pops wall art

A successful school year starts with organization (or at least we try for the first 2 weeks…) These dry erase, peel and stick wall calendars are awesome to keep track of parent/teacher nights, projects, game schedules or even date nights in 😉

Let’s face it, as much as we love them, kids are germy and the school year is the season for strep and stomach virus’. I always send a container of disinfecting wipes on the first day of school, along with all of the other stuff on the list. They even have cute little travel sprays for book bags.

My kid wears a uniform, which is awesome because in the long run I save on clothing but the pieces, especially sweaters are pretty expensive and the most commonly lost item–seriously, you should see the lost and found area at the end of the school year. Clothing labels have been my savior in the last few years and it’s awesome to have a label and can write directly on in case we need to share.

Oh how I miss the days when my baby could fit into stride rite, the cutest, most durable shoes EVER. One pair would last most of the school year. If you’re in the market for new shoes for the school year, stride rite should be your go-to.

Cuteness! This looks like the perfect little back pack for kindergarten. 2 side pockets, 2 small front pockets and interior compartment for pencils.

![]()
After a long week of getting kids to school, work, dinner, homework, etc. you need a night out. If you’re not lucky enough to have a relative on call Sitter City offers another option.
DateNight.sittercity.com promises to connect you with an exclusive group of sitters who are guaranteed to be available every
Friday and
Saturday night. Unfortunately Date Night Now hasn’t made it to the Bronx yet but you can still check out
Sittercity.com in the mean time.
7. GlamSquad
If you’re planning a really special night out, want to get beautified but there’s no time to run all over the city from the nail salon to the hair salon? And no one to pick the kids up from school while your running all over the city? Glam Squad will come to your house and do your hair, your nails AND your make up at the same.darn.time. I got a mini mani, while the tech was standing, with about 100 women walking all around her and it STILL looks good. You can download the glamsquad app or go to the website to book services. www.glamsquad.com
Whelp! That’s all folks!
