Growing up my mom would pick up different Berenstain Bears books for me to add to my collection. Twenty something years later and my daughters now have many of those same books in their playroom library. My mother loved the bears because each book taught a lesson, whether it be about friends, eating too much junk food, watching too much tv, or forgetting their manners. Now my girls can read the same stories I once did and fall in love with the Berenstain family like I did! And now, we have a chance to all go together to watch The Berenstain Bears Live! in a musical! Going on it’s 5th year, now is the perfect chance for me and my girls to have a fun day date in the city to watch our favorite bear family.
Adapted from the classic children’s book series by Stan and Jan Berenstain, The Berenstain Bears LIVE! in Family Matters, the Musical brings everyone’s favorite bear family to life in a thrilling theatrical experience that kids as well as their parents will treasure for many years to come. As always, Bear Country is not without its complications: Brother Bear’s grades are slipping, Sister Bear still has a few things to learn about making new friends, and Papa Bear just can’t stop eating junk food. Thankfully, we can always depend on Mama Bear and her loving patience to help set things right. The newest Off-Broadway musical for Mamas, Papas, and Young Cubs in NYC, The Berenstain Bears LIVE! will give boys and girls of all ages the chance to fall in love with these characters, just as their parents did when they were growing up.

My son loves the Bears Picnic. He gets a kick out of this book every time I read it to him. He loves going on picnics now and he always has to find the perfect spot.
