Schools Forum with Chancellor Carmen Fariña

The Daily News, in partnership with Metro Industrial Areas Foundation (Metro IAF), a network of 118 congregations, schools and neighborhood groups across the five boroughs, will host a schools forum featuring NYC Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña on Thursday, May 28.

Date:  May 28, 2015

Place: Immaculate Conception Church, 389 E 150th St., South Bronx

Time:  7 pm

The forum, which follows up on the Daily News “Fight for Their Future” series on public education in New York City, will be conducted town hall-style, with parents and teachers asking Chancellor Fariña questions regarding their experiences with NYC schools and her plans for reforms.

Errol Louis, host of NY1’s “Inside City Hall” program, will serve as moderator, along with Daily News education reporter Ben Chapman.

The Daily News and Metro IAF previously hosted Chancellor Fariña at a schools forum on Monday, May 18 at Manhattan’s Town and Village Synagogue.
