This Weekend at Wave Hill

SAT, MAY 30    FAMILY ART PROJECT: TELLING NATURE AND FAMILY STORIES Led by visiting artist and performance artist Jesus Benavente and Family Art Project storyteller Rama Mandel, we celebrate storytelling at the Family Art Project and in our own lives. Share your own Wave Hillstories and recreate them using a variety of mixed media, then “plant” your story in a Storytelling Circle. Free, and admission to the grounds is free

Schools Forum with Chancellor Carmen Fariña

The Daily News, in partnership with Metro Industrial Areas Foundation (Metro IAF), a network of 118 congregations, schools and neighborhood groups across the five boroughs, will host a schools forum featuring NYC Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña on Thursday, May 28. Co-Op presents Bronx Tale

Co-Op presents Bronx Tale, an inaugural event on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 5-8pm. Transforming a 1940’s villa in Riverdale, we bring together a selection of artworks, furniture, fashion and jewelry. Merging a myriad of artistic micro narratives we stage an optical phenomenon that lasts shortly. In a world of rapidly changing trends, an experiential environment with esteemed tastemakers from various creative industries is introduced to the audience in Riverdale.

Family Art Day

Dubbed in Reflection: Family Day Arts organization, No Longer Empty is hosting a free Family Day event on May 30 from 1-4pm at the Old Bronx Borough Courthouse. This afternoon of art-making will be lead by Bronx-based artist and educator, Lady K Fever.
