When you think of Carhartt, you probably think of tough gear and hard work. But do you think of everyday women’s outerwear? When we set out to find some unique winter gear for women, I had the idea to explore the styles from Carhartt. I’m casual most days, and I wanted some durable styles to get me through the upcoming cold. I was excited to find that Carhartt isn’t just about men, but had some great options for women as well.
For the fall going into winter, I chose the Women’s Amoret Jacket in Coastline and the Force Equator Jacket in Black. Both are great lightweight jackets that are perfect for walking my oldest to school in the morning and running around with my toddler. I love the accent of plaid inside the Amoret jacket, it’s a fun pop of color that appears when the hood is up or the jacket is open.
My favorite from Carhartt for women is the Women’s Gallatin Coat in honey ginger. I love a casual coat that has a great shape to it. The neutral color is great also. This will be the perfect coat as it gets even colder.
7-ounce, 100% cotton dobby
Women’s Amoret Jacket
I chose the coastline color for the Amoret jacket because I loved the color, especially with the accent of flannel lining on the inside.
1.76-ounce, 100% quilted Cordura® nylon
Women’s Force Equator
The Force Equator is perfect for everyday wear. It’s great with a pair of casual sneakers and a list of errands to run.
It features a 5-ounce, three-layer 100% polyester shell that makes moving around easy, and has a Storm Defender™ waterproof breathable membrane. FastDry™ technology wicks away moisture for comfort. The list goes on: It fights odors and has fully taped waterproof seams. Its venting back panel optimizes airflow (maybe pair fights odors with the venting panel to help keep you cool). The attached three-piece hood has a drawcord and barrel lock adjusters for that perfect fit. For storage, the two lower-front pockets have zipper closures and the cuffs can be adjusted with hook-and-loop closures. There’s a drop tail for extra coverage and a convenient media port.
