Our Favorite Pick-Your-Own Farms Near the Bronx

The Bronx may be a part of the 5 boroughs, but we’re also the only borough connected to the mainland. This means when fall comes around and it’s time to find a fun farm to visit- we’ve got an abundance to choose from that are just an easy ride north. We’re sharing our personal favorites for apple and pumpkin picking.

Note: We’ve updated this list and took off some places that have become overpriced or too crowded for our liking.

  1. Where in the Bronx is it free to pumpkin pick it’s hard to get to places when you don’t have a car and with a five year old that is autism

    1. Hi Carol,

In the Bronx we recommend Anthony’s Flower Farm on East Tremont Avenue. They have pumpkins to pick and each pumpkin you purchase comes with a bag of Halloween stickers to decorate it with.

Also, Brew Coffee House in Pelham Bay does a pumpkin carving event where they usually do a small patch of pumpkins in front of their coffee house where children can pick a free pumpkin to carve.
