First Friday Music with Salieu Suso and Malang Jobarteh
Friday, September 5 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. In partnership with the Bronx Music Heritage Center, BPMM is proud to welcome kora players Salieu Suso and Malang Jobarteh. The kora is a 21-string African instrument from West Africa. Suso was born into a family of musicians, historians, and storytellers and is a descendant of Jalimady, the inventor of the kora, which has a truly beautiful sound resembling a harp.
