Eugene Richards Presentation and Book Signing at the Bronx Documentary Center

Celebrate legendary photographer Eugene Richards’s new book Red Ball of a Sun Slipping Down at the BDC. Richards will present two short multi-media pieces and sign and personalize copies of the book.

Red Ball of a Sun Slipping Down is a book of photographs and writing that speaks of impoverishment, memory, and the preciousness of life.

Black-and-white photographs made long years ago but never before published are interwoven with recent color photographs and, in turn, with a short story that relates Richards’ relationship with an impoverished delta family as well as a growing awareness of his own aging and mortality.

Free and open to the public.
