Do you have a family getaway tradition? In NYC, Lake George is a popular one for family vacation memories. We checked out The Boulders Resort, a family friendly resort that has become a tradition for many families.
Whether you’re staying in a cottage, townhouse, or lodge- all guests access to the beach, boat dockage, picnic areas with grills, pools, hot tub, playgrounds, and gamerooms. Boulders also offers guests free use of rowboats, canoes, kayaks and paddleboats.
And did we mention- there’s WIFI!?
Check out some photos from our stay:
Our kitchens were stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans and the propane is provided for the grills. Wood is also provided for the firepits. There are plenty of grilling areas for everyone, but we spied a few people having pizza delivered to their cabins as well!
It’s really a great family friendly place where everyone is enjoying their time with family and hanging out on the lake. We loved staying on the Adjacent property since it had its own pool had a great view of the lake while we barbecued.
In your room you will also receive a great book with the list of activities for the week- which include games, movie nights, and more as well as a guide to nearby attractions to take advantage of. We had some sightseeing cruises recommended to us- and even drove 10 minutes to visit famous Martha’s Dandee Creme- famous ice cream eatery where the cones reach some amazing heights!
- Many families brought their own rafts and tubes to enjoy on the water- so pick one up if you want to enjoy floating and enjoying the view. You can also use it in the pool.
- While the bugs weren’t bad at all, still don’t forget that bug spray!
- No need to bring smores ingredients- everything can be purchased right in the office!
- Life jackets are required to go out on the boats- but are provided in the office. Still, if you have your own- feel free to bring!
