Summer Session II
Mon. – Fri., July 28 – Aug.1
With summer right around the corner, now is the perfect time to register your child forBPMM Adventures, a week-long program for children entering grades 1 to 6. This unique program mixes core activities in the organicChildren’s Garden at Historic Bartow-Pell with exploration of the 19th-century mansion and the Northeast Woodlands Native American wigwam.
Led by garden educator Lauren Gill, participants learn about gardening and sustainability, while engaging in planting, watering, weeding, cooking, and harvesting. Other activities include exploring the traditions of the Lenape with artifacts and crafts at the wigwam;experiencing the 19th-century life of the Bartow children with period-games and scavenger hunts in the mansion; and observing bird and plant species with nature hikes led by Urban Park Rangers. Throughout this dynamic program, participants will capture memories of all their activities in a scrapbook keepsake to bring home at the end of the week.
Here’s what families say about the program:
“Indira was enthusiastic and eagerly awaited each new day. She was sad when her time was over.”
